I painted this tree when everything inside me felt both divided and whole. The sky split itself into warmth and cold, like two moods living in the same breath. But the flowers didn’t follow the rules — warm colors bloomed in the cold sky, and cool ones opened in the heat, like the tree was trying to find balance where it didn’t belong. I put leaves in the ground, not to show decay, but to remind myself that what falls doesn’t disappear — it becomes part of the next bloom...

Original gouache and watercolor artwork painted on 300gsm watercolor paper.
